Situation
Jay Pate and Sam Hathcock contacted Webbering to redesign as well as host their website, HathcockRoofingAndRemodeling.com.
Challenge
They wanted a website style that reflected the professional nature of the work that their company provides to customers. Their original website was very dated and looked like it was designed by an amateur.
Solution
As far as the content, they wanted to provide the same basic information but we convinced them to expand to provide Testimonials and Media & Communications. It is important to give some positive customer feedback for any business.
As they preferred the images for the home page on the original site, we digitally enhanced the images especially the photo of the original building. This image needed restoration so we enhance the image to bring out more detail, graphically replace parts that we only partially viewable, added in a matching sky with a few trees in the background. This took some time but the results speak for themselves. We added some text as well as a BBB logo with link to their BBB listing. Above the content and below the navigation, we added a showcase image with their mission statement using an image of a van which we graphically restore as well as created a reverse view with proper text alignment. On the sidebar, we put a rotating slideshow of their work and full contact information.
We have made extensive use of tabbed content throughout the site for ease of access to information. On the services page, we replaced the bulleted lists with slides that, when clicked, expand to show additional information. As the internet is a visual medium, we have added photographs to reflect the content.
Result
Hathcock Roofing and Remodeling has a website that meet the professional nature of their work.
